This high quality U.S. Jack of the United States is a maritime flag representing United States nationality flown on the jackstaff in the bow of its vessels. The U.S. Navy is a prime user of jacks, but they are also used by other governmental agencies. Civilian vessels may also fly a jack.
Embroidered star field on nylon fabric. The first style of US Naval flag, now flown only on Sundays and Holidays in port. It is a tradition that recalls the early days of sail.
